Michal Andryszak V Adam Parkes – FIGHT UK 9 – Heavyweight Title

Fight UK have tonight announced another mouth watering clash as Michal Andryszak defends his Fight UK heavyweight title against Adam Parkes at Fight UK 9 at the Athena in Leicester on April 20th.

Michal Andryszak, who fights out of Fighting Division Bydgoszcz has been a busy man recently. He won at Fight UK 8 on November 17th 2012 defeating James Hurrell for the title, and has had three more fights since. His last three have been in his native Poland where he has dropped a loss to Jacek Czajczynski at Fight Arena 4 but then took 2 wins against Radoslaw Kostrubiec and Andrzej Kosecki on PLMMA 11 and Fight Arena 5 respectively. With a 7-2 record and most of his wins coming by submission, the 20 year old Polishman known as ‘Longer’ will be looking to put an end to Parkes’ undefeated status.
Adam Parkes fights out of the very well known Wolfslair academy, home to many top fighters who will  inevitably put Parkes through his paces. He comes into the fight with an impressive 3-0 record with wins over Nikki Kent on Fight UK 1 and  Valentin Trifonov and Ben Whitehead on OMMAC cards more recently. Many eyes will be on Parkes as he is hotly tipped as a rising star in the heavyweight division, with a win here and the acquisition of the Fight UK gold, there is no doubt he will fly up the heavyweight UK rankings by entering the top 20.
This is match making in the UK at its best, two fighters relatively early in their career but so perfectly matched. Fight UK strikes again.
