Saville Vs Gambatesa – Bantamweight title – FightUK:9

The Fight UK bantamweight title will be on the line come April 20th as the promotion announce an awesome fight which sees Dino Gambatesa defend his title against James ‘Scraps’ Saville.

Gambatesa comes to the cage with an experienced resume in the shape of an 10-8 record having shared the cage with, now UFC high flyer, Brad Pickett early in his career. He is coming off of 2 consecutive losses both being at Cage Warriors events against Olivier Pastor and Martin McDonough via KO and Arm Bar submission respectively. Last time out at Fight UK, he defeated Karsten Lenjoint impressively via TKO in the first round to obtain the title and will be looking to find that kind of form once again to take that belt home with him.

Saville, at only 22, also brings to the cage an impressive 10-5 record and fights out of AVT (Asylum Vale Tudo) alongside some of the top UKMMA names including Jay Furness and Danny Mitchell. He holds notable wins over Tommy Hytten as well as Leigh Remedios and is known for his unique, unorthodox style. He too is coming off of 2 consecutive losses against Martin Svensson and James Brum on Zone FC and Cage Warriors respectively, it is certain the Scraps will bring it to the cage and produce a highlight reel worthy performance at the Athena in a bid to take home the gold.

This is an awesome fight for UKMMA fans as Fight UK deliver once again, a great match up between two guys who are as hungry as ever – it will be a WAR!

FightUK:9 takes place on the 20th April at the Athena in Leicester
